About the client

In early 2025, a local new build company contacted us to ask whether we would be interested in painting a number of plots for them. The project involved working on site and completing the decorating work in line with the client’s requirements.

The Brief

The client had previously had decorators working on site but was not happy with their work. After reviewing and accepting our quote, we began work on site and followed the client’s specification.

The challenge was to complete the plots to the required standard while working in the order requested by the client. This meant the work needed to be organised carefully so each plot could be completed in line with their expectations.

Our approach

The client requested that the plots were completed in a specific order, so we planned the work around this. Each plot was mist coated first, creating the base needed before moving on to the preparation stage.

Once the mist coat had been completed, we carried out the prep work, including filling holes and caulking. This ensured the areas were ready for the top coats to be applied and helped achieve a better final finish.

Results

The new build client was happy with the work completed. They also said we would be invited back to complete more plots once they became available.
